South African Road Traffic regulation
Compulsory Emergency Triangles (in terms of Regulation 214 (2) (a) of the National Road Traffic Act.)
While you are preparing your vehicle for the long trips during festive season, take time to check that you still have the compulsory emergency triangle. The only vehicles excluded from this regulation are ambulances, cars registered before July 1, 2006, motorcycles, motor tricycles and motor quad cycles. Goods vehicles, minibuses and buses registered before July 1, 2007 are all required to have at least one emergency triangle sign.
